The engraving story

The engraving represents the Ritual of Growth and Purification of the Throne. According to the product description, it is inspired by a stone relief that once decorated the Northwest Palace of the Assyrian king Ashurnasirpal II in Nimrud, dating to the ninth century BCE. At the center of the scene stands the sacred Tree of Life, symbolizing growth, abundance, and continuing prosperity. The Assyrian king appears on both sides holding his sceptre, representing his guardianship of this prosperity and his commitment to preserving it. The scene also features winged guardians known as the Apkallu, carrying a pine cone and a bucket of sacred water as part of a symbolic ritual associated with purification, protection, and the removal of evil.
